TRUNK SHOW

At least 75 quilts from Robbin's own quilts will be shown and discussed, including her earliest quilts from before 1980 up through her most recent. Her quilts include all sizes from miniatures to queen and many different styles of quilts. The talk/question and answer session lasts about an hour and is geared toward guild meetings.

BIRDS IN THE VINE TABLE RUNNER

This appliquéd table runner is covered with your favorite birds and flowers. It can be done with hand or machine appliqué (both of which will be covered in class) and either cottons or wools. AdB-A, Machine (required for machine appliqué), 6 hrs.

FLECKER FLOWERS

This appliquéd wall hanging was inspired by a visit to the Flecker Botanical Garden in Queensland, Australia. The flowers were fantastically real but looked like they sprang from an imaginary jungle. They can be hand or machine appliquéd in several different ways which will be covered in the class. Embroidery and embellishments add interest and beauty to the quilt. I-A, Machine (not necessary if you plan to do all appliqué by hand), 6 hrs.

FLORAL PURSE

Cute appliquéd floral purse. The appliqué can be done by hand or machine and in wools, cottons, or linens. Class includes instruction on appliqué and construction of the purse. Machine required for construction of the purse but optional in class. AdB-A. 6 hrs.

FRACTURED CRYSTALS

This is Linda Ballard's lovely pieced quilt with an amazing illusion of depth. In class we will be working on 25 blocks which can be a large square throw or the center of a larger quilt. There will be several different methods of speed piecing the units. AdB-A, Machine, 6 hours.  Book required.

FUNKY FLOWER PATCH

Make a charming nine patch quilt (any size) with a few random snow ball blocks thrown in. Machine or hand appliquéd flowers (or any other motifs you desire) in the snowball blocks add a whimsical or themed look. This quilt can be any size and made from layer cakes or scraps at least 10" square. Fast and fun! B-A, Machine, 6 hrs.

FUNKY NINE PATCH

Funky Nine Patch is a low stress, fun approach to a wacky, scrappy nine patch block. You will cut several blocks and their sashings at one time, mix the fabrics, and then sew without worrying about seams matching. This is a great project to use some of the fat quarters you've been collecting. The finished piece can be any size, and you can easily add more blocks with more fat quarters later. AdB-A, Machine, 6 hrs.

FUNKY MONKEY

Funky Monkey is a low stress, fun approach to a wacky scrappy traditional Monkey Wrench block. You will cut several blocks at one time, mix the fabrics, and sew without worrying about matching seams. This is a great project to use some of the fat quarters you've been collecting. The finished piece can be any size, and you can easily add more blocks with more fat quarters later. AdB-A, Machine, 6 hrs.

GARDEN PATH

Charming flower blocks sashed with crazy strips. Use up some of those fat quarters you've been collecting (30s, brights, or primitives) when you cut the blocks, sashing, and flowers from 12 fat quarters. Sashing and blocks are machine pieced but appliqué can be fused or not, hand or machine. A fun springtime block. AdB-A, Machine, 6 hrs.

POSSIBILITIES

Take two simple 6" blocks and you will be amazed at all the design possibilities there are. Squares and half-square triangles make up the two different 6" blocks. The quilt can be crib to king sized. B-A, Machine, 6 hrs.

WEDDING RINGS

Charming single wedding rings are made from free hand rotary cut wedges and squares. This is easier, more interesting, and not as exact as the traditional wedding ring blocks. And no two blocks are alike! Great quilt for scraps, bright fabrics, or country plaids and prints. AdB-A, Machine, 6 hrs.
